Editing Options
Once you have filmed and recorded your content for your video presentation, you must edit that content together to make a coherent presentation. This, again, can seem like a monumental task if you have no experience, but there are some very intuitive editing programs that you can use.
Mac/Apple Users
- All Mac/Apple products come with free editing software called iMovie
Windows/PC/Android Users
- PC/Windows devices do not necessarily have editing software pre-installed
There is also free editing platforms and software available that is not dependent on what type of computer you use. Check out the list below for software and methods available to anyone:
- YouTube itself has a whole editing suite for free that you can use
- Recommended method as you have to upload to YouTube anyway
- You can find tutorials in their Creator Academy
- You can also animate your videos using free software online
- You can also chose to create a recording of a Powerpoint presentation as your video presentation
- Not recommended method - least engaging
- YouTube has several good tutorials on how to do this, including the one here
Free and Public Domain Content
Adding videos, photos, and music to your presentation can all be a great way to make your video more interesting, clearer, and more engaging for your audience. However, if you did not create this content yourself you want to be careful not to violate copyright or steal anyone else's work.
